Boston Market’s History

It was the initial Boston Market restaurant was established in Newton, Massachusetts by Arthur Cores and Steve Kolow in 1985. 

The chain of restaurants was initially called Boston Chicken due to the emphasis on chicken rotisserie served as the main menu item.

The name was changed in 1995 to the now well-known Boston Market and the menu was complemented by home-cooked dishes like meatloaf, roast turkey, ham, and various sandwiches. 

Popular dinner options were developed into the grocery store’s line of products beginning in 1999. At the time, the chain had over 1100 restaurants and was earning more than $1 billion annually.
